Popular period accessory for your older beetle. A&T also made ski racks for Karman Ghias, Notch and FastBacks and Bussi but, they all look different. These two pair mount -ONLY- on a beetle (See the offset metal cups? They bolt to the inside of your rear bumper and hold the ski ends secure), The upper "C" shape frame mounts either in your upper engine grill louvers or decklid louvers (depending on whether you've got a convertible or sedan).

For now I've included an example "style" rack on a early splittie. Somewhere in our stacks of vintage literature we've got a copy or two of the factory installation brochure plus an ad or two. I'm not sure IF the racks in the final photo is an A&T authentic rack but, it looks close enough to illustrate.
