Early 1957 (June) Clear Needle Speedometer for Beetle (VW part# 111.957.023) with only 9,551 miles logged.

Overall condition (cosmetically) is very good to excellent with points off for slight burnishing of the trim ring/bezel and a somewhat grimey inside glass-face. Clear needle has minor (though consistent) yellowing along the length, One of the nicest chrome centers we've seen and strong, sharp mph increments along the range.

Missing/damaged Turn-signal plastic, high beam and oil pressure lenses. This unit is also missing 2 of the bulb holder sockets but, the remaining 5 are there and, are of the correct "screw" type.

Currently we're out of stock on replacement Trim Ring Bezels but should have more in stock over the next month or so. Refreshing of these older speedometers is fairly easy once the bezel/trim ring is removed. Glass can be cleaned and the amber/blue/green plastic lenses for high beam, oil and turn-signals can be replaced with appropriate tinted theatrical lighting gels (they hold up well under heat and color fading).
